The company was started on the concept that there was no true “rugby club style” hospitality packages available for fans – only the more stuffy and structured sit down dinner with guest speaker format .
Founder, Danny Yates, has over 20 years experience in the events industry organising conferences and events on behalf of companies such as Pearson Plc, Bayer and Inmarsat PlC Working with high profile hotels and venues in the UK and Worldwide he understands what it takes to translate an idea into a successful event. Outside of work he played rugby for more seasons than he cares to remember for Stafford, Old Wimbledonians and Old Albanian RFC and maintains close contact with all three clubs. However he says that he is now definitely retired and is concentrating on his guitar! It is this combination of commercial and sporting experience that has led him to get involved in the concept of The Clubhouse at The Misty Moon. Having attended Twickenham internationals for many years as both a normal supporter and as an invited corporate guest he feels there is is a real market for a non ticketed, informal, affordable yet high quality hospitality package.
The site is built on the Joomla CMS, with all custom elements in PHP, HTML 5 and CSS3. It features an online store with a PayPal payment gateway, full stock management, and a custom built HTML emailer to assist marketing efforts. Visit Strum Hospitality here.
